Bokeelia - Pine Island

The guys decided to go away for a boys fishing weekend. They originally were going to stay in a fishing cabin on Pine Island - but I steered them to the Bokeelia Tarpon Inn. It looked nice and had good reviews. They were very happy staying there. The trip was postponed due to weather - and it was iffy if it would be good for the weekend. But they went - and no one else did! They had the place to themselves. The lady who checked them in was very nice. They had the run of the place - including a boat dock and lift for our boat. They also had the use of two golf carts - which they used to drive to dinner - and just for playing around. The room included a hot breakfast and snacks during the day. Beer, Wine, Sodas, Juice, Ice Cream all day - and snacks put out in the evening. They loved it. Oh - it also had a station where you could sit and tie fishing flies - well.... you could try! They could just hop in the boat and go fishing all day - and come back and relax in the evening. They made a run out to Cabbage Key for lunch - which is a fun spot. And then there was fishing - lots of fishing in their boat with all the toys added. Gotta love Grandpas hat!
